Vancouver is in the province of British Columbia in Canada and resides on the western coast of this immense country. The city of Vancouver is the third largest metropolitan area in Canada and the largest on the western side. What is so cool about Vancouver is that because it is such an ethnically diverse city, sometimes Hollywood will film movies there and pretend some of the street scenes are from New York, which also has an ethnically diverse population.

If you plan to visit Vancouver or even relocate there, you should find out about Vancouver weather first. It is rather temperate considering that it is located in Canada, known for its cold weather. The city does not receive much snow and the summer months are rather mild and warm with the highs in the low to mid 70˚’s. This is helpful to know should you want to visit. And if you do come, you will likely fly in to the city and land in Vancouver International Airport. From there you would want to look into a car rental while in Vancouver.

And speaking of cars, the area’s air quality is slowly deteriorating due to an increasing number of cars in Vancouver. In fact, growth is starting to outpace the number of people there! This does not bode well for the environment and the government is to take steps to decrease the smog and pollution problem with such measures as emissions testing. This may affect some used cars sales in Vancouver. Used cars in Vancouver tend to be a bit older and therefore may not have the equipment to keep pace with a clean environment.

While Vancouver has its share of problems, there is plenty to do tourist-wise. There are plenty of dine out options in Vancouver. You could also take in a sports game as the Vancouverites like a good game. For instance, ice hockey is one of their favorites and their team the Vancouver Canucks does pretty well. You can keep up when the next game is or even their game scores through one of the local newspapers, the Vancouver Sun.

The internet is also a useful tool to both resident Vancouverites as well as travelers coming to the city. One of the most popular websites for the area is Craigslist Vancouver. The Vancouver Craig List website lists a ton of employment opportunities as well as gives people a chance to post their own resume. People can also advertise things for sale, garage sales, real estate listings, appeals for roommates, and even personals.
